Surely the workshop on ‘Nature Oriented Nurture’ was different than the workshops we usually attend. I always enjoy and learn more when something is presented in a different way, this workshop promised something unusual from the beginning-from its first session at Loni VGS. I was excited to explore more in successive sessions and could do so when Sharma Sir continued with the workshop in Pandhaprur campus also.
I liked very much the usage of Sanskrit slokas that he used to explain his concepts. I also loved the way Sharma sir made connections between the characters from Ramayana and real life. This guided me to understand myself better and clear by establishing parallels in personality traits with my role models. The manner in which Sir introduced himself was also innovative. In fact, his introduction served as the ground for the rest of the workshop. From here, we were introduced to terms like Amsha and Kosha and moved on to Marjal Nyay, Markatnyay. Tapah Swadhyay Nirtam-continue to study that you like because Ayogyah Purushah Naasti-there’s no one who cannot learn! So truly motivating!
Further, I felt good to be a ‘nimitta’ in the process of learning and teaching. Om Sahnavavatu sounded to me something like ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbkam’ and I understand the former as ‘all of us coming together for learning’. After discussions revolving around these slokas/topics, we proceeded towards ‘Learneos’.
Sharma Sir explained Learoeos to the participants quite elaborately and clearly. However, I found this somewhat tedious compared to other sections. That’s because I am not much interested in technical things. But, as the session steered towards ‘Two Modes-Native & Simulated’ which Sir explained beautifully through the Colors concept signifying energy layers. We checked our understanding of Colors by playing an interesting game – Colour Vocabulary.
The questions those kept me pondering were: the nature of a person may be defined by a predominant Colour in his personality, but, at the same time, there are people who strongly feel that they do not fall just in one Color segment. They may have more than one dominating Color depending upon their multitude of experience, education and brainstorming! If a person with predominant R can be a leader, then a person with any major Color trait can also be a successful leader. It is because a Y can be more involved with his team, a B can be very sensitive to his team’s requirements and problems, a G may guide them in a manner where they consider not only the material but social aspects also. Similarly, a person may also have all the traits distributed equally in him. I believe that a leader must be a part of the team rather than monitoring from far and coaxing the team to achieve.
Well, these are some of my candid thoughts that churned my mind for a while. Nevertheless, I loved the sessions very much. I will cherish this experience for a long time! Thank you Sharma Sir!
Looking forward to Lerneos Training in future !
